Would you like to arrange a local event this summer? Do you have a terrific community initiative you’re keen to kick off?
Now that we are down to Level 1 it is time to think about events, initiatives and community gatherings you would like to suggest and organise yourself, or with a bunch of friends and neighbours, over the 20/21 summer.
The Hobsonville Point Community Grants Fund aims to help residents and groups in Hobsonville Point to fund or partially fund activities, events or community service projects that contribute to local wellbeing. The Hobsonville Point Community Grants Fund comes under the umbrella of the Hobsonville Point Residents Society. Individuals or community groups can apply for up to $500 in any one year.
The next deadline for applications (with supporting budget and detailed information) is Friday 20 November. For full information please visit the HPRS website.
Like to know more about this committee? The Hobsonville Point Community Grants Fund works with funds that have been set aside by HPRS for smaller community events and initiates. It’s run by a small and friendly team who is currently welcoming new members. We have an information evening Wed 28 Oct. This is an easy way of doing something to help spread community spirit and assist people who are doing good work in our neighbourhood. This sub-committee of HPRS considers applications quarterly. It then liaises with the Auckland Foundation, which handles payments and gathers reports later on how things went. For more details on the Auckland Foundation they can be found here https://www.
