Up-skill yourself in this lovely craft on Sat June 29 and join Annie for an interactive and friendly workshop learning traditional weaving techniques, and using locally sourced materials to make a little Winterfest keepsake. It’s happening from 3pm to 5pm at Catalina Farmers Market. A group of friendly flax artists led by Annie Ah Mu will have tables set up inside the left side of the market building to help you create a whetu or star from local materials. Sit down and weave with them and take away your own starry taonga. Koha welcomed. Then afterwards, enjoy all the fun at the Sparkle Parade.
