Do you Know Your Neighbours? Are you Connected with Your Block?

One of the best ways to improve security and safety of our homes and vehicles is to be well connected with our neighbours and block. You need to know how to contact your neighbours if you notice anything suspicious (or, for example, simply a garage door that has mistakenly been left open).

Gordon Summerville, from the Hobsonville Community Trust, helps each block at the Point to be connected with one another and with Neighbourhood Support through the Hobsonville Resident Street Initiative.

He also has access to an amazing street resource kit for your next block BBQ or community get together. The kit includes a gazebo and tables, a wide range of outdoor family games and activities, sound equipment and details of local residents who are willing to help you with your event/gathering if you need.
