A message from KaingaOra in regards to the Te Kanohi o Te Manu Pied Shag Slide:
“We’re very concerned to hear the reports of people injuring themselves while using the slide. Our priority is the safety of visitors to Te Kanohi o Te Manu, and therefore we have temporarily closed the slide while we work through the safety concerns that have been raised with Auckland Council. Te Kanohi o Te Manu has quickly become a popular attraction for residents and visitors to Hobsonville Point, and we ask that people avoid the structure until any necessary changes are complete and we can ensure that everyone has a great experience”.
