The shortage of parking at Hobsonville Point is a predicament shared by many residents but recent attempts by one car owner to address the issue have not been well received.
The HPRS committee has had reports of residents attempting to ‘reserve’ car parks near their homes using their recycling bins. Though creative, this solution not only breaks HPRS’ rules around storing bins out of sight from the road but also discourages other drivers from using the first-in, first-served carparks available on our streets.
Fortunately, cars are well placed to fit in the garages and/or car ports provided with most homes at Hobsonville Point, and we encourage all residents to first utilise such spaces for their vehicles where available.
