Some residents will soon be responsible for the upkeep of the grassy berms outside their property once responsibility for these areas passes to Auckland Council (AC).
HLC has confirmed that the berms and parks in the area between Buckley Avenue, De Havilland Road, Hobsonville Point Road and Squadron Drive will soon be handed to AC. Once handed over, AC will look after the planted berms, parks and pocket parks in the affected area but it does not mow berm lawns. These lawns will become the responsibility of the owners/occupiers of the relevant house.
Impacted residents will receive a flyer once the date for this change is confirmed and the HPRS Committee will also communicate further once it has more detailed information.
